Accessible heritage sites for all

Countryside Mobility Podcast 'Inside Out'

Date Posted: 8 June 2020

We are so delighted to see some of our partner visitor attractions are beginning to reopen or planning to reopen over the coming weeks.  As always they are putting your safety first whilst ensuring you have an enjoyable visit.  However we appreciate not all heritage ability locations will be opening and for some places, on a skeleton staff, not all the factilities, guides and BSL tours that you need will be available.  Understandably some of you are still 'shielding' and not yet ready to venture outside.

We want to remind you that we too are ensuring your safety and enjoyment of our heritage sites and the countryside.  We are keeping in touch with our partner sites to ensure your accessibility needs are met in accordance with the current govenment guidelines. To keep up to date with the latest news and up dates from us and our partner sites across the south west, why not follow us on Twitter or Facebook.

For those not yet venturing outside, why not tune in to our sister project's (Countryside Mobility) fantastic audio adventures and inspiring interviews on their monthly 'Inside Out' Podcast? There are now five episodes to listen back to, as well as a very useful guide on how to listen to a podcast which can be found on the Inside Out Podcast webpage.    Listen to Inside Out as each episode brings you a taste of the outdoors. You can listen for free, online, whenever is convenient to you.  Prepare to be transported to some of the country's finest landscapes and beauty spots, each episode gives you tips on continuing to enjoy the outdoors from your home and neighbourhood. There are also some very interesting interviews with people passionate about the great outdoors, with a tramper hire site featuring in each episode.

Make sure you listen back and let us know what you think, perhaps there's a countryside mobility or heritage ability location you would love to hear from in a future episode.
