Perched above the Teign Gorge, Castle Drogo is one of National Trust’s most iconic properties in the South West.
The Tramper routes here provide the opportunity to follow the top of the gorge taking in views along the wooded valley and across to the northern edge of Dartmoor.
The Tramper can also be used to explore the formal gardens (an admission is charged for this area of the property).
Additional information to note:
- The route includes a couple of gates. Although these are fitted with easy to open latches, those with more significant mobility difficulties should be accompanied.
- The site is one of the most popular National Trust properties in Devon and therefore advance booking is recommended when possible - especially for first time users joining the scheme and at busy times.
To find out about accessibility around the full property including the main Castle, the National Trust have produced this comprehensive and helpful guide
