Whalesborough Farm is set in 500 acres of beautiful countryside near Bude. Tramper users can enjoy the Bude Canal path as well as the Whalesborough Farm Trails. The Tramper can be hired from The Weir Coffee House, Bistro and Wildlife Centre.
Route 1: The Weir Café - Whalesborough Farm: Trampers can be used along Whalesborough Lane and the Kingfisher walk to the road above the beach (Marine Drive). There is also another suitable route to the Bay View Inn and then an alternative more challenging return route using part of the Hare Walk. Trampers cannot be used to use or cross Marine Drive due to poor visibility at crossing points. This is a slightly more challenging route and not recommended for first time users.
Route 2: The Weir Café – Bude via Bude Canal: Trampers can be used on a circular route from the Café, along the canal towpath to Bude including the nature reserve. Using the dropped kerbs and island crossing point, users can explore the area alongside the sea lock to view the beach and visit the café, but no access onto the beach will be permitted. Users can then return via the multi use trail. Both routes are very easy to follow.
