Hooray! We've now created Visual Stories for Moors Valley and Durlston Country Park in Dorset. These are guides that give autistic people advance information so they can prepare for changes before their visit.
Ali Tuckey, Project Manager at Durlston said “We’re delighted that we have become more welcoming for autistic people. The foyer of the castle is a great interactive space, but the loud noises and wealth of information can be quite overwhelming. We also change our exhibitions regularly in the gallery which can be quite disorientating. We’re lucky here that we have the tranquil outdoor space here at Durlston for people to retreat to should they need to.”
You can find the Visual Stories on our locations pages or in the accessibility sections of the sites websites.
