Nutcombe Bottom 'Big Adventure Day' May 2013

Come along to Nutcombe Bottom on the 29th of May for the 2013 'Big Adventure Day!'

There will be a chance to explore Dunster Forest Park and get involved in activities and games from 10am until 4pm.

There will be 2 Trampers available for hire at the site free of charge and do bring family and friends along too.

Nutcombe Bottom is signed from the A396 ½ a mile south of Dunster – look our for the ‘Big Adventure’ signs on the day.

Water, Wheels and Moorland at Wimbleball Lake May 2013

Thursday 30th May 10.30am
Join a member of the Exmoor Society, in partnership with Heart of Exmoor and SW Lakes Trust, at Wimbleball Lake
for a family-friendly walk of approx 2½ hours along the new cycle path to the dam and a taste of Haddon Hill, and back again.

Optional lunch at the café is also available along with accessible afternoon activities including wheelyboat rides and disabled sailing (May be charged)

Toilets and parking are available on site and please meet at  the café at Wimbleball!

Haddon Hill Big Adventure Day July 2013

 Haddon Hill's Big Adventure Day is being held on the 24th of July 2013 from 10am until 4pm and everyone is welcome!

Onsite there will be opportunities to take a Moorland Safari, learn bushcraft skills and join in the famous ‘Exmoor Beast Hunt’.

All the Big Adventure events are free and no pre booking is required; adults must accompany children on the activities and everyone should wear outdoor clothing and footwear.

There will be a limited number of Trampers available for hire free of charge, but booking in advance is essential.
Anyone wishing to hire a Tramper will need to have some basic training
that will be provided at the event.

Dartmoor Tramper Walk August 2013

Join Dartmoor National Park Rangers and the CMSW
Team on the 27^th August 2013 for a Taste of Dartmoor!

Meeting at Shipley Bridge car park at 10am (Grid Reference 680 629) for a 4 hour family walk up towards the Avon Dam with treasure hunting en route. 

Please book in advance and bring a picnic, drinks and your friends and family!

This event is suitable for scooters, pushchairs and trampers and rangers offer the 
option to transport picnics and rugs, etc to save carrying it all!
